Murchison Falls Park Entry Fees have changed from $40 to $45 per person for Foreign Non-Residents. This follows an upgrade in Classification by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) of Murchison falls National Park to an A+ category National Park. The fee is charged on a 24-hour basis as explained below;


After Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park, Murchison falls national park is the second most visited National Park in Uganda. Typically most visitors to this park stay 03 days/ 02 nights and then move on to other National parks.

The Park is popular for its amazing flora & fauna that can be spotted on a Morning or evening game drive, boat safari on the Nile, or even on the waterfall hike. For bird specialists interested in seeing, photographing, or Filming the rare Shoebill Stork, a boat trip to the Delta inside Murchison falls national park must not be missed.


How much are Murchison falls Entry Fees for 2023 – 2024?


Murchison Falls Park Entry Fees vary depending on whether you are a Non-resident, resident or East African as indicated below:

  • All visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm the resident status and a Covid-19 Vaccination card.
  • Fees Quoted in; US$ = United States Dollar, and UGX = Uganda Shillings.
  • A day’s entrance ticket is valid for twenty-four hours from the time of entrance.
  • Extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day.
  • Children are persons aged between 5-15 years.
  • Persons below 5 years are exempt.
  • Entrance fees are independent of package activities such as gorilla tracking, chimp tracking, Mountain climbing, Bird watching, etc.

  • Vehicle entry fees are charged per 24 hours, except for concessionaire visitor vehicles which will pay once per trip in the park.
  • Rescue vehicles are to be charged the same rate as other vehicles according to the vehicle classification
  • The following vehicles are prohibited in the Protected Areas (abbrev. PAs) unless delivering a service within the parks and reserves or under express approval by the Executive Director; Motorcycles, trailers, vehicles with inflammable goods, livestock, produce, poles, timber, sand, and market merchandise
  • Construction equipment includes graders, excavators, bulldozers, bowsers, heavy trucks, roll loaders, etc
