Press accreditation (Media permit) is a legal document given to a journalist intending to carry out filming or still Photography at an event or in a country specified in the application. Press Accreditation is to ensure that person in question meets the general standard of quality reporting and will adhere to the constitution or laws of the events to which permission has been granted to him to cover. How to apply for Press Accreditation in Uganda
Press Accreditation In Uganda is issued by the Uganda Media council after each individual of the crew fills out the mandatory FORM G. This form must be compiled with a copy of your passport (Scan the bios Page) and a recent passport-sized photo to be used in processing your Media card (Press accreditation).

Press Accreditation fees in Uganda (Payable to Uganda Media Council)
- a fee of US$175 per person is paid for a period not exceeding 30 days of the journalist’s stay.
- a fee of US$225 per person is paid for a period beyond 30 days up to six months of stay.
- a fee of US$325 per person is paid for a period of two years.
